About Paddy

Paddy Fay is an internationally renowned Irish athletics coach known for transforming athletes into champions and propelling Irish sprinting onto the global stage. With decades of experience and a proven track record, Paddy has coached teams to Olympic, World, and European Championship successes, including a historic world indoor 4x400m medal and multiple national relay records. Athletes under his guidance have amassed 59 National Senior medals—22 gold—and represented Ireland internationally over 20 times, including four Olympians.

Paddy’s coaching philosophy is centered around instilling unwavering belief, optimizing performance, and unlocking untapped potential. He famously coached Joanne Cuddihy to her Irish women’s 400m record (50.73). As a lifelong athlete himself and a former Dublin and Leinster sprint champion, Paddy understands firsthand what it takes to succeed at the highest levels.

Now actively coaching again, Paddy offers athletes and coaches the unique opportunity to learn from his wealth of expertise and proven methodologies.
